Head, Political Strategy and GovernanceIkponmwosa is the Head of Political Strategy and Governance at VIISAUS and a strategic, data-driven leader with over nine years of experience across political strategy, public affairs, and technical operations in Nigeria and West Africa. His expertise lies in integrating data analytics, stakeholder engagement, and real-time intelligence to strengthen political and public-sector decision-making.
At VIISAUS, Ikponmwosa leads high-impact projects in lobbying, policy and government relations, and political advisory. He has directed more than fifteen large-scale political and governance initiatives, including presidential, gubernatorial, and senatorial campaigns, as well as national polling and federal government advisory projects. His leadership has been instrumental in deploying real-time election monitoring tools across more than 50,000 polling units and in designing data systems and dashboards that support strategic insights for government agencies, multinationals, and development partners.
Before transitioning into political strategy and governance consulting, Ikponmwosa built a career in engineering and project management, developing innovative solutions that improved operational efficiency and sustainability. This technical background continues to inform his analytical and evidence-based approach to strategy development.
Ikponmwosa holds a Master of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Madonna University, Nigeria. He has also completed executive training in Public Policy, Data Analysis for Management, and Field Research from the London School of Economics, the World Bank Group, and the Lagos Business School.
He is a member of the AI for Developing Countries Forum (AIFOD) and is skilled in SQL, Power BI, Python, Tableau, and the Microsoft Power Platform. At VIISAUS, he applies these technical and analytical capabilities to enhance the precision, performance, and impact of political and governance interventions.
